YOUTH CONFERENCE
Part of the mission of the New York State Association of Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislators, Inc. (the Association) is to highlight the achievements and work of those who lead our communities today; but the heart of our mission also lies in highlighting and promoting the achievement of our leaders of tomorrow. As a non-profit with this mission at heart, the Association is working to expand the horizon of impact that we can have on our youth through the new expansion of the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program. This program is developed with the focus of engaging our youth in order to boost their educational and economic achievement, and overall development.
The Youth Summit is typically held on the Saturday of the Annual Legislative Conference in Albany. This event features engaging activities and performances for attending kids, as well as educational and enrichment activities. Events within the Youth Summit are held to get our youth engaged and interested in their educational success, potential career options, and elevating their own voices as current and future leaders.
Through the Association’s Tomorrow’s Leaders Program, we will be taking our Youth Summit to communities across New York State throughout the year after the Annual Legislative Conference to further promote the Association’s mission of engaging the youth to meet their full potential of success. These events will be hosted by the Association in partnership with community organizations.
